On 11 November 2025, the meeting titled “Rethinking the Futures of Mediterranean Land and Water” was held at the Academy of Athens. The event featured a rich agenda that enabled both broad reflection and concrete operational planning on emerging challenges and shared opportunities related to land and water sustainability in the Mediterranean region.
In the same venue, the final General Assembly of the SALAM-MED project also took place, marking the conclusion of the formal project period. We wish to extend our deepest thanks to all our partners for their enthusiastic commitment throughout the project’s lifecycle. A very special acknowledgement goes to our wonderful hosts at the Research Centre for Atmospheric Physics and Climatology of the Academy of Athens and the Navarino Environmental Observatory (NEO) for their hospitality, expertise, and warm welcome.
We look forward to continuing our journey together towards further goals, building on the achievements and partnerships fostered under SALAM-MED. Thank you to everyone who has contributed — and here’s to what comes next!
