We are pleased to share that Radio Tataouine, a leading regional public radio station broadcasting from Tataouine and widely followed across southern Tunisia, has featured the SALAM-MED project in its latest podcast episode.
The podcast highlights the innovative groundwater recharge well technology developed by the Institut des Rรฉgions Arides (IRA) in Medenine, within the framework of the EU-funded SALAM-MED project, as part of our commitment to sustainable and climate-resilient water management in arid regions.
Implemented in El Bghaier (Gabes), this pilot initiative supports seasonal rainwater capture and aquifer recharge, contributing to the fight against drought and desertification while strengthening local water security.
We thank the IRA team and researcher Monji Ben Zaid for their continued dedication to implementing practical, field-based solutions under SALAM-MED.
